Because it starts with love… we founded our birth centre in 1992 to create a space where self-determined birth can be experienced.

Since its opening, more than 5000 children have been born with our help. With one-to-one care during the birth, families experience a safe and calm birth without unnecessary interventions. We focus our attention and actions on providing children with a sense of security, protection and calm when they arrive in the world.

We have implemented a quality management system that is constantly being improved and regularly audited.

Our Mission

The ability to give birth is best achieved with calm and strength, endurance and trust in a protected environment. This is where we lay an important foundation for living together with our child and the family into which it is born.

For us, birth at home and in a birth centre are two places worthy of protection, where we can open ourselves up to the birth process in peace, undisturbed by time pressure, and live our rhythm. We are committed to preserving out-of-hospital birth. For us, physical self-determination and psychological integrity is a human right! Human dignity is inviolable.

We, the midwives at Geburtshaus MAJA, work closely and respectfully together and form an attentive and trusting team. We midwives support people with child-bearing potential and families carefully, attentively and sensitively in the run-up to, during and after the birth. We recognise their individuality and want to accompany them on their journey.

We understand pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period as a natural process. We are trained to recognise anomalies and deal with them competently. Cooperation with other professional groups and institutions is important to us and optimises the care for families. We live with quality management and ensure safety and transparency in our work.
